My passion in life and work is helping organizations, people, groups and causes get to the next step. I help accomplish this by creating organization when there is none, delivering successful projects and by truly understanding how communication leads to more effective organizations. Startups energize me. I love the building products and companies, and thrive while working in environments that have a sense of urgency and amazing people.
Starting my career after graduating from Dalhousie University with an MBA focused on innovation and technology, I have built a wealth of experience working with startups and scaleups.
I started my first startup with NOBAL Technologies as we worked to connect physical and digital retail through the iMirror. Starting with lululemon, we launched digital experiences with retailers around the world. Our clients included Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, Puma, and more.
While working at NOBAL, I had an opportunity to participate in some of the best technology accelerators in the world including 500 Startups and Alchemist Accelerator. These experiences were so impactful that my business partner and I launched our own technology accelerator in Calgary based on what we learned in Silicon Valley.This not for profit accelerator program ran for 9 cohorts over five years.
After leaving NOBAL, I had an opportunity to work with Neo Financial as we worked to change how Canadians spend, earn and save.
Most recently, I had the opportunity to join Flahmingo as we worked to innovate on how Canadians invest. In my role as Chief Product Officer, I worked with an incredibly talented team to visualize, build, and launch an investing application in one of the most highly regulated markets in the world.
